Best Punching Bag For Extremely Hot Room?

Hey guys,

I'm getting a punching bag to start doing some cardio on the bag but since the basement is out of the question I'm going to have to hang it up in the attic. It gets REALLY REALLY hot up there and I was wondering what would be the best type of bag to put up there... i know theres leather bags, water bags, canvas bags... i dont want my bag to fall apart because of the heat.... :D.

Also if the heat does not affect the bag at all .. what type of bag is better overall.. i want something that lasts a while, and i was thinking of getting 100lb bag..that sound good?...

Thanks

I've had a canvas and a water, heat should'nt matter, all though I would'nt reccomend working out in a attic, you could get heatstroke, here in texas you would probably die.

I highly reccomend the water bag, because if you ever just want to shadow box it, the canvas bag will tear up your knuckles. And the water bag simulates the human body better.

BTW, hitting the heavy bag is fuckin a great form of cardio, plus its fun as hell to beat the hell out of something.:D

no problem, I use to have mine in my garage, and in the summer I thought I would pass out sometimes. So I could'nt imagine working out in an attic.

I always liked my water bags from Century. I have a BIG and small one still. They make you work harder than a hard bag...because you have to recoil your punches.

Good workout too...

Go to www.martialartsresource.com, and look for the archives of the the_dojang mailing list. THere was a long discussion about punching bags on there about a year ago. Lots of instructors and fighters on this list, mainly into Korean MA, but other sports experience too.

They have punching bag stands....I have a stand for a heavy bag and a speed bag, got it at sports authority. Good stuff

No need for it in your atitc

now with the watter bag.... do you fill it up with water or does it come with water inside?

LOL, sorry man, I just got the mental picture of someone trying to transport a filled water heavy bag.

I think my said that was 260lb when full, I could be wrong though.;)

I want one of those stands badly, but I don't have the room and I don't have a garage any more.
