?? best methods for battling acne during cycle???

I only get it on the back and shoulders but I get some big zits post cycle. I bought the 3 treatment from pro active and was impressed with the results.

Try taking vitamin e , 1000iu a day for a few weeks .. u'll notice a difference the next morning.. take high purity 1000iu all at once before u go to bed

I agree with the medicated body wash with a lupha (or how ever you spell that word) at least twice a day

Also I use rubbing alcohol twice a day on the areas, helps dry them out and has cut down on pimples for me.

I was gonna use accutane, but I have heard too many bad things about it, and my skin has never been that bad

Even putting dabs of toothpaste on the big ones will dry them out overnight/.
Sounds funny, but it works

Pantothenic acid or known as B5 at 1000mg-1500mg a day and i'd take 2-3 showers a day using salicylic acid wash. Oil of olay makes a good good one. Tanning helps a ton or just go to the dermatologist and get something for your acne. I'd tell them you've been to the derm. before and you dont want creams that they dont work for you and dry your face out too much and that you'd prefer an antibacterial med. ( isotrention ) <--- spelling is probably off. I promise it'll work.

How effective is the sesapure for acne reduction?

all reports are anecdotal, though most of those giving feedback on this report significant acne reduction particularly cycle related acne.

IMO it can be quite effective.

WoW think i may try the B5 interesting....

Sesapure

hydration

aromatase inhibitor

accutane

etc...

What doses of accutane did you find effective?
and did you just run it threw the cycle and then stop?

you definitely want to make sure you get a good cleaning every day, but don't shower frequently every day and limit washing your face to morning and night.... washing TOO often will only exacerbate the acne problem....

I use face stuff called Exposed... you order it online... it has a facial cleanser, toner, and day/night treatment (has benzoyl peroxide as well as salyclyic acid)... for the body, I use neutrogena body wash...

drink lots of water.... also been taking AF's sesapure, not sure how much that's been helping.... but my acne seems to be almost non-existent on this regimen

yeah, im callin you on that macro, aromatase inhibitors probably aggravate acne as estrogen keeps acne away. Estroen has been used as therapy for acne before the days of accutane.

doxycycline 100 mg BID or minocyciline same dose, once that quits working- erythromycin- 400 mg tid-qid
oxy 10 cream
bactroban if u can get it
retin-a helps sometimes
cleocin-t (topical) is good shit also and probably generic by now

accutane probably great , never tried it
washing your face repeatedly wont really help, its like saying if u shut down aas production in mexico that will stop steroids from being sold in the US. You cant wash all the oil and bacteria off and may stimulate and aggravate your pores even more.

true low dose estrogens, usually in females. low dose birth control has been shown to reduce acne (because it does not have the wild hormonal fluctuations and generally lower serum estrogen levels).

there is actually a lot of dispute about the role that oestrogen plays, though certainly too much oestrogen is not good for skin.

use of an aromatase inhibitor can decrease acne from aromatic steroids, though agree that it is possible that they can also aggravate acne (depending on the person, drugs in system, etc)

I don't break out when I'm on cycle. I break out when I'm off. I believe estrogen plays a big part in that since it's always during PCT and I use nolvadex and clomid. I also notice that my skin clears up when dieting. If I raise my carb intake I break out. Must have something to do with insulin.

I a definity agree with the carb thing. When i am on low carb my skin is magical

Just to make sure it wasn't a typo.....you take 1000iu a day? Just wondering because I found this:
Recommended dose:
Men: 10 mg alpha TE (15 IU)
Women: 8 mg alpha TE (12 IU)
Pregnancy: 10 mg alpha TE (15 IU)
Lactation: 12 mg alpha TE (18 IU)

Signs of Overdose:
Very high doses may cause:
Nausea
Flatulence
Headache
Fainting
Diarrhea
Tendency to bleed
Altered immunity
Impaired sex functions
Increased risk of blood clots
Altered metabolism of thyroid, pituitary and adrenal hormones

Side Effects:
Abdominal pain : Discontinue. Consult doctor immediately.
Breast enlargement : Discontinue. Refer to your doctor soon.
Diarrhea : Discontinue. Consult doctor immediately.
Dizziness : Discontinue. Refer to your doctor soon.
Flu-like symptoms : Discontinue. Consult doctor immediately.
Headache : Discontinue. Refer to your doctor soon.
Nausea : Discontinue. Consult doctor immediately.
Tiredness or weakness : Discontinue. Refer to your doctor soon.
Vision blurred : Discontinue. Consult doctor immediately.

Could you clarify......anyone else with info on this, chime in too!

I'm gonna try supplementing with Vitamin E and B5.....just working on the dosages now.

Thanks for the help.

Sounds like solid advice from all above. The only thing I could recommend also would be to change your bed sheets frequently. Or you could sleep in a shirt(I can't do that). That seemed to really help me b/c of the sweating at night while on.
