best diurretic...?

Alcohol. For those who prefer to not get drunk in order to shed water, I recommend Dandilion, Parsley, High amounts of Vitamin C.

Dear cozmokramer,

I am going to tell you the only two TRUE reasons a 'bodybuilder' should use diuretics:
(talking about illegal diuretics only here)
1)pre-contest (few days before the show)
2)during a very 'big' bulking cycle, where the water retention is high and, in turn, the blood pressure goes up. As a result, diuretics (when used in small quantities), can keep blood pressure on the 'low' end.

If you are going to use diuretics just to "look good" for the beach, then please DO NOT come back to this board and say. "I had my kidneys fall out of my ass." One has to understand that Diuretics are DANGEROUS when misused/or..and abused, and can be DEADLY!!!

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES: ->2 most popular diuretics<- and the best to use for the purposes I listed above.
1)good pre-contests (if holding a lot of water)
2)good to keep blood pressure down
---if you are an idiot please do me a favor and don't use diuretics, because they can kill you----- (Mr.X)

1)LASIX: (furosemide)
20mg or 40mg/tab
This is a very strong diuretic. Bodybuilders often use this drug to shed water in an attempt to attain greater definition in the muscles. Lasix acts very quickly; when taken orally its entire effect can be over in as little as two hours. Some athletes like this immediate effect because it allows them to judge their "new look" quickly and determine if they are too flat, or still not cut enough. Depending on their judgment, they might take an additional dose of the drug, or ingest more water to make up for over depletion. Some athlete’s claim they avoid serious cramping and other side effects associated with the use of this drug by supplementing extra mineral and potassium salts. This practice, although often effective, can be extremely dangerous. When self-administering diuretics and potassium salts, an extreme imbalance could result in heart failure. Fortunately most athletes who use Lasix do so only for a day or two before their competition. Dosages seen were around 40mg a day. This drug should be used under the care of a physician. It usually does not show up on the market, but is available at a very low price by prescription.

2)DYAZIDE
Contains
(50mg of triamterene, 25mg of hydrochlorothiazede)

This drug is a combination diuretic. It is most often prescribed for the control of high blood pressure. A great number of steroid users use this drug to eliminate excess water either to avoid a bloated look they get with a certain steroid or to cut up for bodybuilding show. This diuretic is potassium sparing, so it will not deplete muscle tissue as much as other diuretics. The common practices of using potassium supplements or potassium salts should not be done in conjunction with this drug. Average dosages used by athletes on this drug were one to two tablets a day for short periods of time; usually just for a day or two before a show. The dosage of diuretics should be adjusted for each individual and should be handled by a physician due to the severity of side effects. Extreme adverse reactions to this drug could cause heart failure. Mild side effects include muscle cramping and dizziness. This drug is most often attained from a doctor.

The one who act's a fool, shal't die a fool !!

DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE WATER!!! It is usually very, very overlooked.

I also like Dandelion (I usually just buy Cytodyne's Taraxatone), and glycerol when at low bodyfat levels.
