I am 18, I work out 6 days a week using strength trainings 6 day body building workout routine. Right now, I know I am not eating correctly for what I am trying to do, because I am trying to take off some fat before I build up. My question is, can someone run me through a good diet (can be extreme) to add muscle and shed fat?

Any of those 6 meals a day plans good for me?

If you could, would you tell me how many calaloires/protein/carbs/fat I should be looking at, and foods that will help me get all those without other things I dont need?

Thanks

This is the oftenly asked question. How do i get cut up and gain muscle at the same time? Unfortunately if you want to do either really effectively you need to concentrate on just one. Thats not to say you can't lean out while gaining some muscle, but if you were to concentrate on each one indiviudally it would be your best bet. With that said, I would probably eat more towards a cutting type diet and train hard and you could put on some decent muscle while cutting up but liek I said, better to choose one or the other unless you are going to juice.. but that is not my forte so I leave that to someone else. anyways I would suggest a protein rich diet no doubt. That is a given, even for people who dont work out. Keep it good meats.. semi-lean beef chicken, veal, fish, etc. You want some good fat from olive oil, fish oil, good butter. The biggest thing here would be how many carbs? That is tough, but since your a yougn guy your insulin sensitivity is probably pretty good, so I would say eat some carbs, but keep it in the mid range so you dont stop your fat loss efforts. Fruits, green veggies and oatmeal I would say would be ideal!! Use these foods to get the best program for you.

check out hansel's thread on the diet forum called eat good be lean blah blah blah

it's a good thread.
I'm personally doing a 40/30/30 macronutrient breakdown and doing good on it

I'm not looking for muscle mass though

hheck lol im 16 and lost 50 pounds since last year and im cut up and nice except for a lil baby fat on the stomoch that doesnt feel like F-ing going Away no matter what i do...

but dont Diet bro... your doing fine.. just watch the simple things like Pepsi product coke and all that stuff thats all carbonated ... and dont eat junk food like snikers bars twix bars and shit like that....just eat alot of breasted chicken/steak and good healthy food.. veggies.. also stay away from fries hamburgers pizzas and stuff like that...

You should go check out the diet section and maybe even post this over there. You'll get a ton more replies.

I don't think you need to cut carbs completely, so check out Hansel's diet he has posted.
