belly getting fat

I'm on a bulking diet and seem to be getting more fat in belly than wanted. Not sure what to do. I don't want to burn calories with cardio, but this sucks. Has anyone else experienced this?

You are going to get fatter if you bulk, no question. If you are packing it on too fast try doing less calories and evaluate what you are eating as lots of people take bulking to mean eating whatever they want.

Agrre with Zap up here.

you have 2 alternatives:

1. Eat less cals (you will gain slower then)
2. Do some cardio (2-3 times per week didn't kill anybody). target at a very easy pace (some 65% MHR) for 30 mins...

Most likely you overestimated your caloric needs. Cardio is not a muscle-eating evil.... your heart will thank you for it later on.

I agree with the above. Also make sure you are eating clean foods and not junk.

I am bulking on clean foods, eating about 3050 - 3100 calories per day and doing cardio once a week, HIIT twice a week. As long as you don't do cardio on the days you lift, you will be fine.

As I have posted before, I am gaining weight at a ratio of 77:23 (LBM:BF), so to minimize BF gain during a bulk and to maintain an aerobic base, you should still do cardio at least once or twice a week.

Thanks guys, I'll start a little cardio. I don't mind cardio, I just thought it would cut into muscle building, but I guess a little can't hurt to watch belly.
