Arthritis

I have a diagnosis of arthritis in my cervical spine (c3, c4 degenerative disks due to not sure what and SLIGHT curvature which the doc said wasn't really even worth mentioning due to the minimal curve it showed.) and it has been killing me for 2 weeks now, anybody have any experience with such a thing and how long did you endure you pain for, did you stop training, and do you still train as you please or with any specific contraindications?

Thanks!

Alex

I can't vouch for arthritis in the cervical spine, but I do have arthritis in my left knee that has been bothersome from time to time. I started wearing knee sleeves on leg day to keep my knees warm and much of the pain has subsided.

And I can relate to problems of the spine. My lower back is shot...degenerative disc disease. I can no longer squat, but I have been able to leg press and lunge my way to bigger quads. Recently, I also added smith machine squats to my workouts. I perform these much like hack squats...feet out in front and leaning back into the machine. It takes a tremednous amount of pressure off of my back.

I'm not sure if that helps, but I'm guessing that with a proper warm-up and a few modifications to the exercises in your training program that you will get back to working out with minimal or no pain.
