are 25 inch Quads considered TINY????

hell, IMHO if your 5'6 with 25 inch quads your doing pretty dang good. yeah, i'm sure there's guys out there that have bigger quads than you and some might even be less than 5'6, but i'd definately be impressed! keep up the good work bro :coffee:

seem freakin small as hell to me

compared to upper body

bis- 18 1/2 cold
chest 44
calves 16 1/2
waist 33

all after diet measurements

weight right now after 14 weeks of dieting 198lbs down from 228 at approx 11% heading dowm to the 5% range

compared to your other stats 25'' may be a little on the small side, but bigger than the ordinary fella. genetics may have a little to do with it. good luck getting to 5%, your in for some hell LOL

Now offense, but if you're 5'6 you should be able to get 25 inch quads easier than some who is taller. All the short guys always seem to be bigger because they have less room to put on the size. Unfortunately for them, when the taller guy puts on the same dimensions as the smaller guy, the bigger guy will almost always win any comp.

Your quads should be bigger if you have an 18 1/2" arm cold... but hey bro just plug away at it - keep squattin and deadlifting like a monster and they'll come

my thoughts exactly-compared to upper body they seem tiny----definitely genetics my mother has chicken legs

been squatting heavy and heavy leg press-they just do not respond as well as upper body==will take some pix in next couple of weeks

Are you asking because that's your leg size? If so let me tell you that a 25inch thigh on a 5'6 frame is nothing to sneeze at. If you were 6', I could see a cause for concern.

yes my quads are 25 1/4 on a slightly over 5"6 frame--rest of measurements and weight are above

Are you mixing it up with front squats, lunges and hack squats?

just started adding in some fronts--my shoulders are constantly black and blue and scratched up from doing them--but i like how they feel--im doing them on the smith--also started barbell lunges--ill get them up--goal is only 27.5 inches--but unfortunately they are my body part that if i stop training them at all--they deflate

I have roughly the same dimensions as you, except I'm 5'7". My quads didn't come out nice until I added single leg Smith Machine squats and stiff leg deadlifts on top of everything else. I also did a 6 month stretch where I trained legs twice a week. Mine are at 32" now and I have genetically thin legs. Give it a shot. :coffee:

sounds like your W/O program is on point. Make sure to STRETCh the fascia often as well...before, during and after your workouts..keep those legs stretched and primed to grow.

32" is that both of them together???? there bigger than Coleman and Cutler!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOl my Quads are nothing special, but my calves are jacked, so it gives off the appearance that I must have big ass quads..Not the case

Put it this way...ur legs ahouls be alor larger then ur arms. Ur bi's ahouls be about the same as the calves. Get it?

ok my bis are 18.5 my quads are 25 1/4 my calves are lagging at a little over 16 1/2

To be symetrical, your arms, calves and neck should all tape measure the same. Most pro's individual legs actually tape measure the same or larger circumference than their waist in shape. And your back should be wide enough at the shoulders that you have serious v-taper to your waist.

And yes 25 inch quads are small on most guy's frames. 25 inches is pretty good for a female competitor though.

Arnold talked about his thighs being 28" at their best. He, of course, wasn't known for great thighs, but they did look decent in 73-74 or so. And, he was just over 6'. It's all about the shape. I've got a buddy who is 6'1" or so and has 26" thighs that look great. He's not a huge guy, 220 or so, but he has complete development down to the knee and good sweep. That makes a big difference. Anyhow, my thighs are 26" and look like shit- I'm 6'2" and they are a major weakpoint for me, thighs and back thickness are what I'm working hard on. Good luck!

I'd just ignore him, he's not making much sense. I wouldn't think 25" thighs are tiny, but the rest of you is fairly developed. I'm in the same boat as you, my upper body is nice and my thighs suck. My calves are pretty good though. Unfortunately I have bursitis in both knees and any leg excercise is out of the question. I can't even go for a jog. I would think 26" would be pretty good on a 5'6'' fella

You hit the nail on the head, it's all about the sweep. My quads are only about 25" on-stage, but my sweep makes them look huge.

I think I remember reading the Dara Trager has 25" thighs off seson when she was into bodybuilding. They looked thick and sexy as hell and very feminine.

Good luck with the wheels of steel.
