Sorry if this is a repeat..

but anyone have a good regimen for this sort of thing?

I know the basics -- low-carb, eat lots of proteins (fish, chicken, tuna, turkey), lots of veggies.. olive oil.. flax oil (what does this do exactly?) Eat small meals every few hours.. tons of water..

Anyone got a specific formula that worked for them ?

Any foods to absolutely avoid -- milk? cheese? nuts? all breads?

hehe thanks.. i just read that in another thread..

i guess my question would be -- is a cutting diet also good for losing fat? I'm new to the world of weight training and I know that cutting is the practice of making the muscles stand out more -- ahhh i see, by losing the fat layer on top.. I guess I just answered my own question.

thanks again!

A rotating diet works best..high carbs on days you train, low carbs on days you do not train...keep them complex carbs..no junk food..breads etc...Drink at least 1 gallon of water a day..tons of good ol protein..clean diet..hard training and a lil cardio will take you a long way:)

Is there a rule for women when it comes to protein? Meaning, instead of saying have protein be 61% etc,,, is there a rule pertaining maybe to xgrams of protein per body weight? I have been doing about 1 gram protein per pound of body weight, is that too much too little?

Yup, definitely depends on the individual.

What I have found - on Elite & other places, is that there simply aren't really any "rules". Trying to pin down rules to solid 'definites' just gives you (& everyone else) a headache. As proof:

I have generally heard a gram of protein per lb is good - although that seems to be at the low end of what most are doing. Personally, I try to get 150 - 200 gram & I weight 135 lb.

Sure Fire Diet

It's called the W I N N Y diet! It's amazing for me, take in less cals than necessary for maintenance, still gain strength and about 6 pounds of muscle - wow! Isn't sciene wonderful?

I probably sound like an advert :(

Why not go on the Eas Body for life challenge??? Its a 12 week program where you diet and train for 6 days (monday to saturday) and you have a FREE day on sunday where you may eat whatever you want.

Its not a gimmic coz I know first hand, Ive been on the challenge for about 2 weeks now (well on sunday it will be 2 weeks) and im already starting to see an improvement in both my weight, bodyfat % as well as physical strength and fitness.

Firstly get yourself the Bill Philliips Body for life book form your newsagent - you dont need it but I think its excellent it explains everything you need to know about diet and exercise and shows you different ways to improve your overall well being. The book includes all the diets and exercise you need for the challenge

Go to www.bodyforlife.com and register for the challenge, after you register you need to take your before pics and then in weeks time take your pic again and send them. You stand a chance to win 1Million Dollars so its definately kewl!!!

GOOD LUCK
