I know that's the party line these days but surely an Anavar/Proviron cycle (for beginners) would be ok?
Anybody think it's NOT essential to use Test as base of any cycle?

I believe it's best NOT to add test to the first few cycles you do, but almost everyone will disagree with me because internet consensus says differently.
the past 4 years I haven't used test in my cycles about 80% of the time and look at my avatar. so I would say its not necessary
however I would suggest with anavar/proviron you need to add something wet to that cycle to give it an androgenic kick. anavar and proviron both shine in cycles as additions, but I would not run either by themselves because you won't get enough out of them to make it worth it.
I would do dbol/proviron
anavar/low dose tren or test
or even anavar/eq
but anavar/proviron stack I wouldn't waste my money on
I actually hit a PR on anavar/tren and another PR on tbol/EQ.. neither cycle had test and I blew through my barriers.

Not necessary at all. Most look best on little test and higher anabolics. But proviron and avar is a crap cycle in many ways. Sure it will be great for a newbie but if you are gonna get in to aas you will have to start injecting. Alternatives to look at for good bases to cycles would be Boldenone and Primobolan and dare I say on this forum Deca

Nope, not essential at all. Still, IMO you should balance out your stack to make it androgenic enough for your body to keep up normal (higher than normal is also accepted by most) sexual functions. So depends what you are running.
I agree with others that Anavar/Proviron is too mild stack to waste your time and health on. You need a base for your cycle, personally I would go with NPP, Masteron (or Primo), and throw Var which ever you see more fit as kicker or finisher. Proviron I would run throughout, if possible.
Then again, I do personally prefer also a HRT dose of Test, but I'm on it year around, and it would be very inconvenient for me to stop it while blasting other compounds... So adding small dose of Test to any cycle certainly doesn't hurt, but is by no means a must or "the building block of all cycles", that's broscience/interweb-mythology...

Testosterone is not required in a cycle at all. I do incorporate it all the time at varying doses, but it's not completely necessary. If you use the right compounds stacked together with the right supports, you will be completely fine with a healthy libido function and great gains. Adding Test to some cycles will just add to side effects anyways.

I personally, blast and cruise, so test is essential for me. I have been on test for 4 strait years and don't see myself every coming off. 1 of my recent blasts I did do 600 tren e per week and 200 test cyp. Wasn't bad at all. But I will stick to test as a base for me. Each their own. You just got to figure out what's best for you.

I like to run it especially in more expereienced athletes.

even if you blast and cruise it doesn't mean you have to use test as a base for your blasts. or your cruise for that matter. test is perfect for a cruise obviously (tren is too harsh) for example and test has the perfect anabolic/androgenic ratio and isn't high on one or the other. so guys like to use that.

Ok guys what would be a good cutting stack without Test? I can't handle tren so I guess that leaves Anavar, Winny, Masteron....
