Scot Mendelson is hosting the Powerlifting Bash in a couple weeks.... Mendy just opened up this place in Chatsworth, CA. From what I heard from a friend, he's setting up to be a dealership for professional gym equipment, and evidently has a gym in the building as well. Too close for me to pass up! I might have to go check this out. I know that area, and this place must be new. I'll go by today and check it out!

Bench Press World Champion Goes for new World Record
Bench Press Champion of the World, Scot Mendelson, will be going for a new world record at the 2010 CA Summer Powerlifting Bash on August 21st. The APF Meet will be held at Mendelson's new facility, Xert, located at 9145 Deering Avenue in Chatsworth. World Class powerlifters from all over the globe will be flying in to lift at the meet and see Scot attempt to break the 1031 lb. world record that he set on December 12th, 2009 at sister gym, Body Temple Gym in Camarillo. This event is open to the public and free of charge for spectators.
