I'm looking at a '96 bronco to replace the one my "friend" wrecked. It's in california and I was outbid by $50 and have received a second chance offer.

He writes back that I need to send ebay my name and address etc. I don't mind paying transaction fees, but shit I'd like to talk to the guy before I book a flight out there.
that's what i'm thinkingBIKINIMOM said:Sounds reasonable. If the seller is giving you a hard time about talking to you, maybe a red flag?

I did a little research on hombre out westgotmilk said:most second chance offers are scams...they sell the truck to bidder number one and try to keep your funds.

thanks for the input02gixxersix said:Talk to him before hand. I talk to people before I bid on anything big and most small stuff for that matter. If he is not willing to communicate then don't do it. I have bought and sold tons of stuff on ebay including selling 2 vehicles. I have had almost all good experiences but some bad. The ones that were bad were the people you can never get in contact with. Make sure they are stand up and willing to work with you before agreeing to anything.
Also how long after the auction ended did you get the offer. Check out who outbid you. The guy might be using a fake account to try to drive the price up and then just send out a second chance offer for whatever the highest bid he got was.
