Have any women here taken anti-es before? What did you acheive from it? Is it dangerous for a woman to take anti-es?

Nolva is used sometimes by women competitors but almost all the research around what it does to / for women is all in studies on post-menopausal women & around breast cancer. There are some posts by MS I think that address this further.

Stuff like l-dex just shuts down all natural estrogen production and you just don't want to do that for a woman. Honestly, estrogen should not be that big a deal as a fat driver -- just diet & training can handle most of it. Sometimes it takes a little longer to whittle down the tough spots like hips and thighs, but anti-e's really aren't the solution to that. The other consequences aren't worth it.

Where are you going w/ these questions? Are you recommending a girlfriend or something take anti-e's to lose weight? Can you provide some context?

No No. Just always wondered what anti-e's or anti-a's would do to a woman? But in very, very low doses.

Not worth it. The results are NOT worth the risks. Unless a woman is going to step on the Olympia stage with a chance to win the title, it will do little for her.

The only place there is extensive research on this stuff in women is for post-menopausal / breast cancer patients. Otherwise its pure trial & error and the results can be attained w/ diet & training. Unless this is a libido situation where a doc might prescribe something like androgel.

AI's do have a place- there is just no certainty as to what it is. Obviously in women with high estrogen levels there is potential for great benefit.

There is also research in pre-menopausal women. As Sassy69 siad, Nolvadex is almost certainly useless unless you are already very lean, and Arimidex only decreases estrogen by 25-35% (at high doses) which may or may not give dramatic body comp results. Arimidex should also raise a pre-menoapausal women's T levels, not sure by how much. Let's just say I've yet to see a study that showed giving Arimidex to pre-menopausal women caused them to lose fat...but then again the women thay give this stuff too are not likely to be dieting bodybuilder types on average!
