anti-estrogens

have any of you women used an anti-estrogen when on a cycle? (nolvadex or proviron) Getting ready to start a cycle of Eq/var in a few weeks, just curious.

Been discussed many times on the Women's Board. Not a good idea in pre-menopausal women. Yes, can do some good in a PRECONTEST woman - like 1-2 weeks out of a contest. But unless you are around 6-8%BF, not gonna make a difference.

Plus, the effect of elminating estrogen in a woman....not good. You'll get hot flashes, bone deterioration, etc...all the "side effects" of menopause. And possibly a 'rebound' type effect of fat gain when you come off.

Proviron is VERY androgenic...not a good diea AT ALL.

consider a tag-team of nolvadex and arimidex......both imo are necessayy as one reduces EXISTING estero and one reduses production of "NEW" estrogen

Keep in mind as DG stated........not a really good idea

I thought Nolvadex was designed to be a preventative drug for breast cancer? Not positive about that though. Well, I'm sure you are right about the sides, but I think the bone deterioration would be the result of long term usage. Don't you have all the side effects of menopause with aas anyways? I don't know for sure, just assuming. I'm not set on the anti's anyway, it was only an idea I thought I'd get some info on. Thanks for the input Daisy!

No - AAS do not suppress estrogen, only increase amount of male androgens.
