ANPB Diet Meal BAR

Gee. I feel creative these days.. lol

I'm going to be out of home tomorrow for several hours,
and I can't take the PB Jar with me or whey. So I am thinking
about making my own ANPB Protein Bar !

I'm going to just blend 20g of PB along with 15g of
banana flavored protein powder, 2 egg whites, one teaspon of
cinammon and one splenda. I am going to wrap it into foil
and bake it for 20min... If anybody here has any other
suggestions feel free.

If you use a blender a lot of it will be left on the walls of the blender; I suggest manually mixing it and wrapping it w/ plastic wrap and putting in the fridge until morning.

But still baking it right? (I don't like the idea of eating raw egg whites)

If you are using whey, you might overheat the protein and break the bonds - destroy it in other words. So, you can just drop the egg whites if you can't stand the taste and create the bar w/o them - just chill the final product.

Thanks, but I got confused. One one hand you say I might
destroy the whey protein by breaking the bonds
(but when I do pankages, and you said you're doing it yourself
we also 'destroy' the bonds don't we?)

Also, you say to drop the egg whites if I don't want to
eat them raw?

Got me confused... :confused: so to bake or not to bake?
to use the egg whites or not?

you can just buy 100% pure egg whites in liquid form at the store which are pasterized. Not egg beaters, those are not 100% real.
 
Use the liquid egg whites and bake the hell out of it.....no study has been done saying heat destroys the protein anymore then blending it............

sorry.. i didn't get you buddy.

I don't use pure whey for pancakes and don't heat them for long enough to break any of the bonds: I use a combo protein from www.proteinfactory.com. High quality protein at much lower temperatures would not be a problem - but baking straight whey might overheat the product.
