ANPB and crackers

New member
About an hour before bed I usually have a snack involving ANPB. I am getting pretty sick of using celery and grabbed some crackers.

Wheatsworth Stone Ground Wheat Crakcers (look similar to saltines)

Serving Size 5 crackers
Calories:80
Total Fat: 3.5g
SatFat: 0.5g
MonoSat Fat: 1g
Sodium: 170mg
Total Carbs: 10g
Dietary Fiber: Less than 1g
Sugars: 1g
Protein: 2g

Is this acceptable or no? I have been using 5 crackers with a thin bit of ANPB on each. Should I stick to suffering through more celery or is that a bad idea too? Keep in mind this is for cutting not bulking.

INGREDIENTS: Enriched Wheat Flour (Contains Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate [Vitamin B2], Folic Acid), Vegetable Shortening (Partially Hydrogenated, Soybean Oil), Defatted Wheat Germ, Stone Ground Whole Wheat Flour, Brown Sugar, Toasted Gulled Sesame Seeds, Salt, Leavening (Baking Soda, Calcium Phosphate), Wheat Gluten (A Protein), Honey, Corn Syrup, Malt Syrup, Soy Lecithin (Emulsifier).

all the stuff in bold are the reason's why i would suggest not eating them. every now and then have a few but i wouldn't make it a constant thing. But that's just me.

ya sublime is right. 10g of carbs pre-bed is pushing it, plus all the other stuff they have in it. Especially for cutting. Shit if you were bulking who cares but since your on a cutte r i would stick with the celery, sorry bro!

Why not do this....
Buy Cassein Protien. Made by ON or your favorite brand.....
Blend 2 tbsp or 1 serving(depends on brand) of ALL natural Peanut Butter in it?
after mixxing it for 20-30 secs, put 2 icecubes in it and crush them with it. Nice Pre-Bed Meal

The Cassein is slow digesting, and along with the peanut butter it is super slow lol. Also, it would boos your protein inrake before bed up to about 30g/slow digestiing protein for the next 8 hours of sleep. You should definately see some results from this. ...

Since you are cutting you might want to use water, but it taste great in Milk. Its up to your goals. I mean, mixed in water the calorie count might be 100cals for the cassein, and the cals from the PB.

So if ya were going to do this make sure to alter your other meals to still have the same ratio intake!

Just my .02 =]
Goodluck

haha 10 grams of carbs before bed is pushing it

please

are you an athlete or a wafer thin supermodel?

never the less, I like the idea of casein protein and the peanut butter....as long as you insist on having nut butter to begin with,

I don't think 10g is too much but it's where the carbs are coming from. I have around 15 before bed from the cottage cheese, but they are much better carbs than the simple, processed ones from crackers.

ya i know 10g is preety much the most i would take tho....

sumblime, after eating them carbs at night do you feel like you are bloated in the monring? Even when i eat simple carbs before bed i wake up and i feel bloated as hell as if im holding more water.

I do know that 1g of carbs needs 4g of water to proccess, in wich i heard, so in theory more water weight(aka bloat) would be added overnight.
Are you bulking or cutting?

Def still ok to have carbs pre-bed, just be smart like sublime and make sure they are good carbs, or you will regret it!

Thanks for the input sublime letme know about the carb theory i have tho lol

no I don't wake up feeling bloated or look it. Only thing I notice when I wake up is that I'm really hungry :D Yeah every gram of carb you eat causes the body to hold like 4 grams of water. I'm bulking, if you were asking me. I eat carbs in every meal up to my last meal. My last is just cottage cheese and flax.
