Anavar Cycle?

Rizzogirl

New member
Hi! This is my first post. My husband has been trying to get me to come onto this sight for awhile now. I finally had a free afternoon and have been reading almost the whole time.

I am 5'5' 145, and wanting to tone and tighten while losing my body fat. My husband suggested an trying an anavar/T3 cycle this spring. Like I said I have been reading all afternoon and there were a few questions that I had that I didn't find.

1. Will anavar reduce the effectiveness of my oral contraceptive?
2. Could anavar effect my chances of having kids in the future?

I was about to start a strict diet and more intense workout until the spring. I was thinking about added Xenadrin or Hydroxycut.
I would appreciate any thoughts that ya'll may have. Everything I have read so far has been informative and helpful. Thanks!

Hi Rizzogirl :)

Heres my input: I havent done anavar before, but it is a good first cycle.

You should honestly try and go as far as you can, on shedding the b/f, with a good clean diet and lifting weights--heavy.

Then....maybe next summer or so, when the b/f is where you want to be, then reconsider doing a cycle .

The anavar shouldnt mess with your b/c.....but do not try and get pregnant while on it.....make sure you take the necessary precautions. It should'nt hamper your attempts at having kids. But everyone is different, and these things will effect everyone differently also.

Continue reading on this board ; it is really informative and entertaining :D

As ann said, make sure your diet & training are perfected first. Get the most of out of that if your goals are to "tone up". These will give you the best long-term results.

If you do consider doing the cycle, there is lots of info on dosage etc. and also some on the lists of sides that you may or may not encounter. It won't interact w/ your b/c, but you may end up skipping your period for a few months. That seems to be a common side. This will also happen if your bodyfat drops below about 11-12%. Don't try to get pregnant while on AS and probably best to wait a good 6 months after a cycle to try. I posted a quote from the Anabolic 2000 text regarding this. I'll see if I can locate the thread for you.

...

Found it - check the 3rd response down on this thread (written by me)

Thanks for all your help. I am looking into a good diet. I need to look on the diet discussion. But, off the top of your heads do you have a personal favorite method?

Thanks for the diet it looks great. I can't wait to get started. I have to admit that I don't know what my bf is. I need to get it tested. I would guess that I am around 25-28%. Does that sound right? I think that my goal would be around 10-12%.

I workout in the evening. I do both weights and cardio. Typically about 20 min. of cardio and generally join my husband for weights. Thanks again for all your help. Any other help would be appreciated.

The wife told me that I was beckoned to post on her thread....so here I am! Now how bout hooking me up with that Karma Lobo?!

j/k....I am glad she broke down and decided to come on read and get to know her way around things a little better.

I have loads of fun over on the chat board exchanging radical ideas and insults, but will occasionally try and provide some constructive contributions on the anabolic board as well.

Thanx for being nice to the wife....I warned her not to go on that chat board!!!!

she can go to the chat board, i'll protect her :) :p
heeehee

but in all serious Rizzog, you may find that you can get the results you want w/o the supplements by tuning in the diet and training hard.. as ann said.... once you've given that your best go for at least 4-5 months (start now, why put it off? !! :) )... if you don't get where you want after that time, re-evalutate and decide on a cycle then.... (i'd also be tempted to say that IF you decided to go the supplement route, stick to just the anavar and you'll probably be okay... i personally wouldn't mess with the t3 and what not unless you are trying to get really lean.... but again, that's just my opinion.... strict dieting and training on anavar alone can do wonders)

as for the answers to your specific questions

there 'shouldn't' be any effect on b/c, but everyone's body reacts differently to these things it's always wise to take that extra precaution, just in case... better safe than sorry is the motto :) you'll find that this is a question that gets asked a lot and isn't answered a lot because many women who are trying to get lean take the bc out of the mix prior to going this route...

keep in mind that many girls don't have regular (or any) peroids when on cycle, so using that as a guideline isn't a good idea...

as for pregnacy... i've read 6 months, but i've also heard of people who stopped cycles due to pregnacy andy had no problems... i'd err on the cautious side... if pregnacy is a short term goal (w/in 6 months of the cycle) i'd re-evalutate the other goals and see just how important it is to be lean..... keep in mind that the female body may have some rebound effects if your bf goal is reached (10%ish may be too low for many women to menstrate and/or conceive and there is always a possibility that these functions will take awhile to come back... throw extra hormones in the mix and you just never know what the outcome is... so again, if this is a goal in the next year or so, re-think this from all angles...)

glad to see you are planning so far in advance.... again, don't wait until spring to start getting things in tune... you may just surprise yourself!

oh, and welcome to the boards.... :D

AMEN SISTA!!!!! Dont even know ya and I am so proud of you!!! Great you are researching for YOURSELF and EDUCATING YOURSELF....that is how WOMEN should do it all the time...it is YOUR body and you need to know everything so you make wise decisions! Anavar like said above is a great first cycle to choose..Make sure you have fine tuned your diet..training and cardio before considering a cycle...Can you post a sample of what you eat now in a day..diet is 90% of it...and little changes in that can bring about big changes in your body. Are you lifting heavy??? Do not do light weights..and high reps!!! DOESNT WORK! If you want to become firm and hard..heavy is the way to go..Yes be careful while on cycle...you dont want to become pregnant....make sure you plan everything out and become well organized in what you want to do....and remember it takes time and patience..

I think that my goal would be around 10-12%.

Hey rizzo & FrankR! We have some fun on the women's board, but I think sometimes this the place w/ the least ego/bullshit & most constructive info on these boards. So, yes its safe here, and we definitely take care of our own!

Wanted to throw out a comment about bodyfat goals. The average is somewhere in the mid 20%. 25% bf may sound "fat", but for women, its normal. I think that most of us have goals around 15-18% bf for "off season". When you start targeting below 12% it can be hard to maintain it unless you are really hard core and your goal is to be hard core, and of course, you can run into that little thing w/ your period stopping. Its not a big deal in the short term, but generally not a desired effect for the long term (... without going into the whole discussion on that... just a rule of thumb). When I got to 11% and lower during competition prep, I started feeling like a bag of bones, so I would say my body is happier at a higher bodyfat in general.

Also keep in mind that you can't compare men's & women's bodyfat levels -- women will tend to need more body fat than guys - dat just da way it be.

Well, i have started my diet, I know that I need to fine tune it. I really haven't figured out the calories, carbs, protein, etc. I need to work out my weekly menu. I have been going to the gym and doing 20 cardio along with weights. I join my husband and what he is doing. He keeps me in check, makes sure that I work each bodypart once per week.

Thanks with the bf suggestions. I didn't really have a perspective because I have not ever judged progress with it. I have dieted throughout my life and just judged progress on the scales and how my clothes fit. My diets were alway horrible, crash diet.

I'll keep you posted. Do ya'll think that I should add ECA or Hydroxycut?

new@gettinbig: I really don't have a set diet everyday. I really try to eat protein and veggie for each meal. For instance today I ate:
Breakfast: 1C. Raisen Bran
Lunch: Tuna w/ mustard and pickles 2pickles
Snack: Popcorn
Dinner: 1/2C Rice, Black Beans, and Tomatoes
