5 mg AM and 5 mg PM to start. Try it and see how you do. If you feel ok and see minimal sides you can take it up. No need for more than 20 mg a day.
I disagree wholeheartedly with this.
A few questions.
1) Is this your first cycle?
2) How is your diet? SPECIFICALLY?
3) How is your training? SPECIFICALLY?
4) What are your stats? (age, weight, BF%, height, history)
5) What are your goals? And what have you done thus far to reach them?
IF your diet and training are in order, and have been for awhile now, then starting Anavar at 5mg a day is a good place to start. Stay there for about 4 weeks, judging sides and results. If you are seeing results, then there is NO need to increase. If you would like to increase after 4 weeks, I would go to either 7.5mg or 10mg and stay there for the remainder of the cycle. Var is usually cycled in women for 8-12 weeks.
There is ZERO reason to go above 10mg (unless you are a serious competitor, and even then, the jury is out). If your diet and training are GOLDEN, then 10mg is more than enough. MORE mg's will not make up for a shitty diet and/or training. And MORE does NOT mean better results. MORE often means more sides - even in Anavar. 20mg is WAY too high for a novice, or even a 2nd or 3rd cycle. It is pointless.
I hope you have done plenty of research on Var - and you know that it is NOT side-free. SO many women come here and want to try Var because it "doesn't cause side efects". This is totally wrong. Every single AAS has sides, and has the potential for VERY serious and VERY permanent sides. Common sides with Var include (but are not limited to): acne (all over), oily skin (esp face), lower voice, compromised cholesterol levels.
I seriously, seriously hope that you have been following a CLEAN diet for a long time now, as well as some SERIOUS weight training. If you have not, then a cycle of Var is silly.
As far as the type of Var, personally, I like BD Var.
