Amount Of Sets when cutting

Legion Kreinak

I hear when trying to just preserve your muscle while cutting down (or if you're already cut and just want to maintain whatever gains you have) you should do 1 set of your workouts for each part of the body. Is this true, or will that result in muscle/strength loss?

You are trying to get too technical. You are wasting too much energy worrying about this. The bottom line is, find out what works for you. This applies to eating, rest, and training. There is no reason why you should think about training every minute of the day. Get into the gym and get out.

Legion.... You have to keep things simple...Whether you want to cut or bulk, do it through diet changes not by changing your workout.. Basicall cut carbs to cut and add carbs to bulk while keeping protein constantly high regardless...

Legion,

Cutting has nothing to do with 'how' you train. Anyone that tells you differently knows very little IMO. The only wat to look cut is to build muscle, you can't build muscle when you 'back' off on your training. The only varaible you should be altering is your diet.
