amish stupidity

A 70+ year old Amish man wanting to keep his sexual trysts with a young girl private paid her and her boyfriend over $67,000 to keep them quiet. Apparently he feared they were going to post pictures of him and her on the internet and his community would find out about it.

My question.... when do Amish use computers? He could have shagged half the state if the only thing he had to worry about was the internet. I can picture him riding the neighborhoods in his buggy yelling "Its Photoshopped!!!"

Numerous Ahmish near where I live. All of their houses are huge. With tons of property.

As harmonica said, they are not hurting at all. Hell, there are a couple of cabinet factories near me owned completely by the ahmish, BUT, how many work there.... not very many. As long as an Ahmish man owns a company, it can be labeled Ahmish built. They aren't cheap. Very nice though

They do the best work when it comes to contracting, cement work, carpentry, masonry, etc...They have awesome reps for doing the job right and getting it done quickly. But yeah, you're gonna pay a little more. Hell we even have an Amish electrician where I work. And he's from Canada. Others ways are Amish restaurants and from the tourist industry. It gets crazy around here with all the freaking tourists coming from all over the world. Farming can't be overlooked of course. Whatever they do they work they're asses off doing it and save like crazy, except for the old perverts of course.

I can imagine that they live on very little so after a while they can have a huge amount of cash.
