Am I Gay For This?

While on vacation, my girlfriend forced me into taking a Pilates class with her. Okay, whatever. Let em tell ya...it was a workout! A combination of resistance training, stretching and isometrics and cardio.

I'm not saying Pilates will transform your physiuqe and build muscle like hard core weight training, but as an alternative now and then that's still a tough workout without beating your body up too much (especially for us "older" guys), give it a try! You might be surprised.

Not at all Nelson...

I used to take yoga all the time when my schedule allowed it, and I'd take pilates if I could fit it in......any uneducated, going-to-McDonald's-after-"training"-jackass can make all the "gay" comments he wants...

LMAO!
im glad you guys said it first.
I always tell ppl yoga IS the most physically demanding thing I've ever tried!

Watched on TV a while back a special on how some football programs are using it in training sessions usually the day before heavy lifting....even interviewed a handfull of players saying taking it in the off season helps to keep them in good condition for next season to stay ahead of the younguns coming in.

legit pilates or yoga will wipe you out .. but gotta find the right class that is challenging, not some old folks class.. used to go to a class at my old gym, it involved a lot of upper body work... headstands, frog poses, etc. the veins were popping out of my arms after the workouts. its no joke BUT gotta have the right instructor.. i've been to classes where it was a waste of 1 hour

I would watch some clips and do at home but not pay for or do in public gym :D

Yoga yes, but Pilates uses a specific apparatus -- not unlike that CHuck Norris slidy thingamajig.

At first, I thought it was bullshit but as Steve said, with the right instructor, it's bitch. I'd say after a couple of classes you could probably replicate the moves with cables and weights, though it's a better workout when you're straining to do something that other people are doing and don't want to look like a wuss for being the first one to quit!

Luv ya Juds!

Nothing gay about doing pilates or yoga or even Zumba if that's what floats your boat and helps you with whatever your goal is.

Unless you spend the time in class checking out other guys junk, then that would be a bit gay :P

No if you were lucky then you should have enjoyed some nice eye candy. I would advise all single guys to venture into the womens classes. I would say your gay if you dont want to watch that.
