Am i gaining weight abit too fast?

Hey guys, this is really my first time, i started dieting and lifting properly. In last month (the first month of starting lifting and doing it properly, after a looong time off) gained 24 lbs, Naturaly.

Bulking at the moment, My body stats are:


Age 19. (20 in March)

Athletic built to start with.
6''4 (194CM)

200 lbs starting weight. -> Current weight 224 lbs after 4 and a half weeks)

Protein intake 370g on training days/ Carbs around 350-370.

7 Meals a day, (Including Weight gainer shakes) each meal around 50g protein. and 30-50 carbs almost every meal), eat every 2 hours.

4000 Kcal a day. CLEAN Bulk

Water - 2-4 Litres a day ( I know i should be taking 4, just sometimes i feel really bloated... :( )

Supplements i use: N large 2, VPX NO Shotgun V3, and BSN Volumaize.

Get about 8-9 hours of sleep every night, watch my alcohol intake as i train 4 times a week. Only 1-2 drink once a week, thats on my off days, sat/sun (Thinking of getting wasted this weekend. I need it to keep my sanity haha).

I had really good weight gain in first 2 weeks, adding about 8lbs each week, and im more confident/that my diet/routine is even better, but i seem only to add about 4 lbs each week. I have definately seen some good results, even all my friends and family noticed it and said im getting bigger, and i know its not all fat, as i can still see my abs in my favourable light, and when i tense them.

Sorry for the long topic, but i just want to know if this is normal? As i said, i dont use gear.

Yeah, ofcourse im gaining just a little bit fat. Thats epexcted when you bulking anyway. And im not afraid of it. Im confident that its just the right amount. =)
 
As far as the topic goes youre fine man. I'm about your age so we're in the same bout metabolically, and I've put on weight similar to that in a lot less time just from eating tons of calories and protein and lifting a lot. As far as I'm concerned, from what you've said about your height, weight, and ab definition, you're doing very well with your bulking and I'd keep up the routine.

The only thing I would recommend (not to say that you are using it anyway) is to stay away from the muscle milk. Yes everyone loves the name and the fact that it is unbelievably popular among pre-teens worldwide, but even when youre bulking you dont need 16g of fat per serving in one of those containers, especially not when you are eating 7 meals a day. As you probably know, you can get shakes with much higher protein value and much less fat content at much cheaper price.

Dude thats amazing, keep it up. As long as you can still see the abs and are happy keep doing what youre doing. You wont gain that much evey week it will start slowing down but keep on pounding it. Clean bulk FTW

Thanks alot. Yeah like you said Gladiator, rapid weight gain is slowing down abit.. but however im starting to look fuller :) Feels really good to get noticed by friends and family, went to see girl friends today, they all kept touching me :< *Feels abused* :D

Thanks ill keep that in mind, because all the buzz seems to be about muscle milk at the moment ;) However im not too keen on it, (seems abit low in kcals for me) as i really dont care about taste of the product, as long as its working, who cares =)
 
I agree! I can mix chocolate milk with protein powder on my own and not charge myself 60 bucks!
