aldactazide usage

ConnectionLess

New member
My GF is using aldactazide to get rid of a very strong water retention she's got from pill (she thinks about 30 pounds).
She's planning to use it at 50 mg/ED for a mounth.

Since I don't know nothing about it and I'm afraid for it can be hazardous for her I'd like to know what you think about that:
is it an acceptable dosage ? I'm afraid she could gain even more water the she used when she stops using it. Is it possible ?

Please need help...

well im no doctor but id say that she has put on 30lbs of fat, not water....thats a lil much. Using aldactazide will get her peeing alot but i highly doubt it will accomplish what shes wanting.

however, the dosage is anywhere from 25 mg to 100 mg ed. Only people ive heard using this is a few days before a comp to deplete the lil bit of water left, while trying to still maintain the harness and not become flat....

i dunno....

The weight she's gained is probably a mix of bloating and "encouraged" estrogen-related fat deposits. Dumping the water weight will maybe be a few pounds, but what she should first consider is finding a different dosage birth control pill so she doesn't tend to put on so much weight. She should go back to her OB-GYN and discuss her concerns. You didn't mention which particular pill she's on -- I was on one called TriPhasal or Trilevlin (one is the brand, one is the generic) - which is a very low dose estrogen/progesterone pill and I think I can honestly say I never really gained weight from it in 15 years. I recently went off for competition and I didnt' notice any dramatic change in my weight simply by coming off of it. At least getting on a pill that won't promote so much weight gain, she can avoid further weight gain.

As far as losing the weight she has, just popping diuretics won't get her 30 lbs down. She needs to address that in the same way the rest of us have to -- diet & exercise. Maybe we can help her get started on that -- is she interested in diet & training? What does her regular diet look like now? What training does she do? If you can lay out a snap shot for us of these things, we can probably identify some ways to help her get down. If the weight is pill induced, removing that source is a start and often a good diet change will get the body back into a better state of metabolism to get the fat loss moving.
