Hey there... I posted this on the Anabolic discussion board, but I know you ladies probably know quite a bit about Clen:

Whaddup y'all... I was wondering if anyone ever noticed any sort of rebound effect from Clen (yes, I have read the FAQ and done searches). You see, I know this chick who did T3 for what I judged to be a much longer time than she should. Months later, she has gained everything back and a bunch more. She has kept up with her diet and workout routine, so the only explanation I can see is that she remained on the T3 for too long and her natural level have been supressed and have remained that way therefater. She is going to a doctor to undergo testing per my advice... My question, for those of you in the know about Clenbuterol's chemical action, is there any reason something like this can be expected from a light clen cycle? I mean, is there something that is supressed, with the possibility of not coming back immediately, that might cause a rebound effect of sorts and cause one to gain the weight back. I mean, I understand that when on Clen you are in a hyper-metabolic state and that if you stop working out and start eating bad after you are on it, you will of course return to your prior state. I guess the bottom line here is, Do you know of any reason why a person who does a light cycle of Clenbuterol would have a problem keeping the cut afterwards, assuming that they remained disciplined afterwards? Thanks!

She did T3 and is having probelms bringing her normal level back... however, I was wondering about Clen (sorry if I was unclear)... is there something can be depressed when taking clen that can lead to any sort of rebound effect... BigAndy69 (author of THE clen FAQ) responded to this, when posted on the men's board, that clen inhibits taurine production which can slow the conversion of T4 to t3 (active hormone) which can thus lead to a mild rebound effect... So, always use Tuarine with Clen. Later...

I took clen and lost 20 pounds but I was also doing cardio everyday and was stacking with T3. Once I lost the weight I stopped taking them and have not had a problem with keeping the weight off.

Don't know if this helps.

She has two problems. One, with depressed thyroid function, the effects of catacholamines (epinephrine) on fat use is reduced because thyroid regulates beta receptor density. It is the activation of beta receptors during exercise and fasting that causes the release of fat from fat stores to be used as fuel. Two, clen causes a downregulation of beta receptors in itself. So right now she has a shit squared situation on her hands.

No surprise she is having problems. She needs to fix the thyroid problem first, otherwise her beta receptor density and fat burning capacity along with overall metabolic rate will be reduced and that means fat storage along with numerous other problems associated with low thyroid function.

I hate to point out where info on a post is just wrong, but it's important. It's the amino acid Tyrosine that keeps the deiodinase enzyme active, not Taurine. After coming down from t-3 use, one should be certain to keep Tyrosine supplement intake around 500mg twice daily preferably on an empty stomach, but never with protein.
