so iv been on a 1500 calorie diet for 5 days now, eating whatever i want as long as i come up to 1500 calories consumed at the end of the day. I tend to burn 800-1300 a day doing various things like basketball, running, weightlifting and martial arts. I've lost 6 lbs this week, and im now weighing at 6 ft, 202 lbs, age 16. I have quite a bit of muscle on me so and i can see an outline of a six pack so im guessing im at 16% body fat. Im wondering if there are some foods that i should be eating rather then others, and what food will help burn body fat. I would still like to keep on this diet because its simple and im good at ignoring hunger. Please help!! thanks!
 
which foods do you eat now? 1500 calories is wayyyyyyyyyyyy below what you should be having providing you run, play basketball, lift, and do martial arts... You should think more along the lines of healthy weight loss than fast weight loss.
 
breakfest - zone bar - 210 cals
lunch - 6 chicken nuggets and a chocolate milk - 450
dinner - whatever the rents cook
snacks- whatever as long as i have enough cals left.
drink water only

basketball is every Wednesday
run everyday
martial arts is Tuesday and Thursday
mon, wend, frid- weightlifting
 
HOLY MOTH****CKING SHIT... That's far from enough calories.. you didn't even calculate your BMR so those calories are the calories you burn from your activities... you need to take into account what your system needs to work. When I'm cutting I eat more calories than that and I do a lot less physical activity. I'm surprised you ain't starving

What are your goals here?

You are definitely undereating for your stats and activity level.
 

Well, maintaining that kind of bf% is very hard. We are not designed to be that lean. 9%-10% body fat is pretty fucking ripped and a lot easier to maintain. I personally would not want to be any leaner than that unless dieting for a show.

If you're trying to get ripped for spring break or some other event, then cool, but you need a better plan than what you have now.

I suggest you look into the Ultimate Diet 2.0 by Lyle McDonald.
 
Well it's easy to be 6% bodyfat, I used to be 6 percent freshman year...but I was also 5'9 135 lbs too...to maintain good amounts of muscle and be that lean is near impossible naturally. Fuck I would literally die of starvation if I ate that diet....
