ACE Personal Trainer Certification Question

Hi, I'm studying for the ACE Personal Trainer certification exam right now, and I was wondering if anyone knows if their are a lot or not that many questions about muscle anatomy on the exam? and if I need to spend my time memorizing all of the muscles locations, actions, and origins and insertions because that is a lot of information and it would take a long time memorizing. Basically im wondering whether or not their are a lot of questions about muscle anatomy and if I need to know the origins and insertions of certain muscles? Thanks for your replies!

i'm not sure about the ACE exam, but i know the nsca had some interesting questions in regard to anatomy. i am sure there will be anatomy related questions, but nothing too over the top.

it's probably only to be questions like:

when performing a dumbbell press, which of the following muscles are the primary movers.

i HIGHLY doubt the ace exam is asking questions regarding origins and insertions

Yes, you need to know muscle location and function and legality. It will have multiple choice questions asking which muscles are involved in hip flexion or elbow extension. Best bet is to creat flash cards or order the one's advertised on ebay. I am studying also. My friend/coworker who took it told me to learn everything about anatomy, physiology, legality and all the fomulas.

i just can't picture the ACE exam going into such depth...oh well, study to your hearts content.
