Accutane Warning!!!

May be old news for you ladies, howevere watched a show on the sides with accutane and that they are trying to take it off the market. I noticed alot of people on this board talking about it all the time so thought I would share the info, Biggest thing was birth defects, 4/10 babies had serious birth defects from parents on accutane. Be careful and use this as a last resort not to just clear up steriod related acne.

Another ploy to protect the stupid and irresponsible.

Before a woman can take Accutane, she has to take a pregnancy test and sign numerous forms promising to use at least 2 types of birth control. In addition, the doctor spends at least 30 minutes giving a lecture and providing reading material that includes graphic pictures and drawings of deformed babies.

Then every month while on Accutane she must take additional preg tests in addition to all the standard blood tests. PLUS every single dose of Accutane has huge warnings about pregnancy and birth defects. Any woman who still does not get the idea that pregnancy while on Accutane is a bad thing should NOT be contributing to the gene pool!

Accutane is a good drug. Perhaps they need to add an intelligence test as well.
