Why does the media insist that steroids will kill you? I can understand that bodybuilders and strongmen who use massive amounts of aas over a long time will most likely have health problems but do you think joe average who lifts in golds gym and does 2 cycles a year to get bigger biceps will die at age 50 of a heart attack?

I'm so fuckin sick of watching these lop sided views from the media on steroids. Why don't they compare the number of steroid-related deaths each year to the number of alcohol-related deaths each year?? It's really fuckin sad because all we try to do is improve ourselves in different ways (looks, strength, weight, or self-confidence). You don't see Dan Rather on TV talkin shit about Botox! Here's a quote for the news special tonight and anyone else who thinks that US steroid users are nothing more than muscle bound steroid pushing roid raging freaks. Tell them good ol' DarkEnigma said this...."Until your sorry ass is in that gym...sweating and experiencing the pains from lifting.....until you sacrifice your time, your body, and your energy....until you dedicate yourselves to doing what we love to.....kiss my steroid loving ass!!! I think the world has more problems than worrying about guys using steroids! What about kids going hungry on our streets??? What about our elderly having to decide between having medicine to live to the next day or putting food on the table??? What about people losing their jobs or being cut back on their hours at work so now they can't afford to give their kids a decent Christmas this year?? Bring some fuckin national attention to these issues, because that is what they are..... REAL! They are not made up, these are actual events happening right now on our streets and in our homes! I see this shit everywhere I turn and it makes me sick! But what gets the national attention? Some guy sitting at home injecting himself with steroids! ABC, NBC, or whoever is putting this shit out.....get a fuckin clue and do something productive with the resources that you have! Now, if you will excuse me, I have some good ol' D-BOL calling my name and date with some iron at my local gym!!!"

Did they name the chemist who developed it? I've seen 3-4 articles saying Patrick Arnold (1-AD guy) which is rather interesting
 
I'm torn! The show really made me question my choices in life. Maybe i shouldn't be using steroids? Maybe i am just cheating myself? Maybe i'm a fraud? Maybe...maybe...OH BULLSHIT!

Victor Conte is a genius! He not only told the world how effective steroids are, but he got that indian guy to agree with him on national tv! How many people are now sitting at home thinking "Wow, maybe if it worked for these elite athletes, i could increase my golf drive by 50yds?" Or how many women that have been fat all their lives are now looking at Marion Jones and saying "You mean i could be that lean and sexy?"

Come on guys, you have to see the positive implications that can come of this. Give the average middle aged guy a chance to outshine all his buddies at the company softball and what do you think he'll do? He will take that chance! We are in the age of the babyboomers, and everyday i come in my store i have said generation beeging me to show them how to get back in shape!

All in all, i think that the program was more of a benefit than a hinderance to our lifestyle. It got people thinking! I actually see a silver lining now.
