The East Carolina Pirates and the Virginia Tech Hokies will be battling on the gridiron at Lane Stadium on Saturday in season-opening action.
Oddsmakers currently have the Hokies listed as 28½-point favorites versus the Pirates, while the game's total is sitting at 41.
The Pirates will be in tough when they face the Hokies. East Carolina has to contend with a new quarterback and a host of other rookies at big positions on the roster.
Virginia Tech will be a force this season, and with the tragedy behind them things can only get better for the 10-3 team of a year ago.
