700 lb squat

He broke parallel. I was there. Smith machine yes,but you still gotta have the legs for it.
 
It was passable. You are correct that is still strong. That's probably equivalent to a 450-500 free squat.

Hard to believe he's a powerlifter though. I train around a couple national level heavyweights and they won't touch a smith machine even if you paid them to. At least not on the major lifts.

hmm I'd say a 700 smith is at least in the 500's free. Smith machines are pretty lame though especially for powerlifting. But I'd sure touch one if someone paid me:D

i agree with this... smith is waaay easier... not as easy as the leg sled, but probably right in between...
he is strong... but im wondering, because ive never known a powerlifter to ever use a smith...
