660 reps with 40-pound dumbbells???!

anyone else catch that Dragan dude do this? It was kind of a curl to shoulder, press and lower type movement. the reps were crazy though. I spoke with him after and he said his record was 1,000 or so reps but only had 700 in him on that day if the other guy hadn't quit. he gives $10,000 to anyone that can outrep him. nuts.

Shit... that $10,000 is as good as mine.
 
just hook up a bicarb drip and youll be good to go.

and daaaamn can you imagine the lactic acid build up with 660 reps ?
 
wow at 1 rep a sec. thats 11 mintues of continuous movement. I guess once you stop than your done, is that how it works?
 
if its a bi curl movement then its easier, if its a shoulder press then kudos thats sick.
 
he actually curled the dumbbell to his shoulder with one arm and then pressed it and lowered it back to his waist. One rep. repeat with other arm.

the deal was, if you broke rhythm or cheated you were out. started out with 30 or so people and whittled down to one guy that did 658 or so. Pretty amazing AND Dragan is 54 years old. he wasnt huge or anything, very lean and thoroughly pumped when I spoke to him! :)
 
Wow,,,,that is super impressive. Seriously it takes a lot for me to be truly impressed and this guy has done it....-WULF
 
He sure seems thin to me:

Height: 6'2"
Weight: 185 lbs.
Age: 53

I am 5'8" 191 lbs. and I am by no means hugh. He must look skinny in street cloths. It does go to show you that being lean can have the ilusion of making you look big.

I must admit Impressive feats of strength.
 
who gives a fuck about the dude. he's small, and has a bad physique other than the fact that he's lean. i mean, so he trained super high reps with a certain weight, and is good at doing it...i don't give a fuck. ask him how many reps he can do with 60 reps, and it'll prob. be like 10 or something.
 
I stood next to him at the Classic. He is tall and really skinny. Still it was a hell of a thing to watch. The guy is a machine.

he's obviously one of those weird eruopeans.

still, cut like crazy and impressive.

seriously though. every single person on this board could probably invent some kind of event with a specific type of movement that we could practice all the time and take on and beat the public at.
