6 week progress pinions please

hey I just finished 6 week bulking and new routine. i was using a 5x5 with some of my own sets to go with the 5x5 compounds. tell me what you think of the size and strength gains. I am 19 and this was my first real attempt at bulking.

well there are the gains tell me what do you think I think I did ok it definitely shows in the mirror. thanks for all the ideas for lifts and eating, the back and traps have grown like weeds from the deads, the legs have grown from the squats. Thanks for all your help.

good progress, keep up the hard work. Maybe another 6 weeks on 5x5 might put on more weight. Did you feel that you were getting stale? if not I suggest sticking with it because of the gradual gains you are getting plus to slowly increase the poundages you are working with. I am glad to hear you got 16lbs heavier.
 
i plan to stick with the 5x5 but i am going to change up some of the accesory exercises to hit the musles a little differently. i am also going to add close grib bench and barbell rows just some things i picked up from teh board taht i thought would be good ideas. this board is great and without it i would never had made these gains i was afraid of deadlifts and squats till i came here. i wasnt sure how good the progress was so i wanted opinoins to see if i am headed in the right direction.:fro:
 
those are some damn good gains dude. if i were you though, i'd focus on getting your lift poundages up higher. try some HIT and i bet you will get a lot bigger. good luck.

Pretty good overall gains... the only question I have is that you gained alot of muscle probably 14lbs, 1-2 pounds fat (if that much), but didn't seem to gain a huge inch increase in any one area. I would have figured the inch gains you made would have been less muscle mass in my oppinion, but I maybe wrong on this one, just curious if any vetrens have any input on this issue. As I have gained about 7 lbs since Xmas, but pants all fit the same and clothes the same, just can't figure I would have gained too much muscle with all the cardio I do compared to lifting. I was doing like 5 days cardio, 4 days lifting (2 days the same routine) in a circuit type setting time wise, mixing up cardio with Boxing, Biking, Swimming 2 times a week, and running 3-4 times a week.
 
hey thanks for the replys i thought my gains looked pretty good, but i am knew to this and i wanted to make sure i was headed in the right direction. i still think my lifts are really low for my size but that could just be inexpierience i assume. i assume they will contine to steadily rise for awhile. does anyone think i need to change my routine or do these gains speak and say i have set up a pretty good routine, diet and, sleep pattern. i have decided i need to up my tricp and chest work my bench is way to low in my opinoin i tried to max today and i barely got 175 up:( . thanks for any help you all can give me. :fro:
