The 2006 NBA Finals features two teams, Dallas and Miami, making their first ever appearance in the finals. On paper, it's a matchup that offers everything, not least a fascinating coaching duel between Miami's veteran Pat Riley and Dallas' Avery Johnson, the man whose new style of defense has a lot to do with Dallas' presence in these finals. Dirk Nowitzki has been outstanding for Dallas all year, getting stronger as the playoffs progressed, while Miami is built on the powers of veteran center Shaquille O'Neal and shooting guard Dwayne Wade. Dallas starts tonight as a favorite - can the Heat catch fire in Big D and claim the initiative in this eagerly awaited Finals Series?
