5'11 - 5 weeks -195 to 215

Not sure whether I should have posted this here or in the cycle section. My apologies if this is in the wrong place.

38, 5'11, fluctuate between 185-195 when not training. Back in the gym after a good while away from training. I am following an HST based routine (m-w-f). My old routine was kind of a three day split (chest shoulders & tris - Back & Bis - legs - do it again, then day off) so the three day a week routine is brand new to me.

On my first cycle and I am digging it. Week 5 of 10 week cycle of 400mgs/week test testosterone cypionate, 50mgs/day DHEA, 6iu human growth hormone - somatropin - /week, 500mgs/week HCG (courtesy of my local anti-aging clinic).

Diet is not very sophisticated (don't have the time or expertise to be sure that I am balancing six meals a day calories/carbs/protein, etc). Instead, I am trying to eating as clean as I can and as much as I can stand (lean proteins such as boiled eggs, tuna, chicken, steaks, lean pork chops etc., oatmeal & fruit for breakfast/preworkout)...plus two to three protein shakes per day, multi V, fish oil, BCAA, creatine & drinking tons of H2O.

Making decent muscle gains (so far), but obviously I gaining some fat too. Can't really complain about gaining between 20 and 30 lbs (depends on where you start me from) in 5 weeks!! Am I right that I shouldn't worry too much about the fat because if I want to make the most out of my relatively light first cycle, I can't worry about being lean right now. I can always cut later, right? Also HST and many knowledgeable people here seriously emphasize the importance of rest days...on my off days can I do 40-50 mins walking on the treadmill plus abs an calves w/o damaging my growth on rest days? Thanks, bros.

As far as diet I think my book coming out soon can help with your problem. I don't know why you are taking hgh on a first cycle its clear you don't need it.
Its not mg of hcg its ui's and yes 500iu's ew is a good thing when on cycle it will help with pct. Btw what are you planing for pct???

I always try and stay real lean just for the simple fact that is the look I like. If you want to look big and bulky then keep eating and keep getting fatter. If you want to look lean and mean then you need to up your cardio and drop some of them cals. At your age your metabolism does not need 3,500 or 4,000 cals a day unless you are an extreme ecto.
 
i'm with needto here: why spend the $ on hgh on a first run? Save them peptides for much later man!

I'm thinking that with such gains in so little time much will be water. Dont get too disappointed when it comes off. Besides nobody wants to be a waterboy right? That lean mean look daswoll is talking about is first and foremost a DRY one. Now a bit of bloat on a bulker is inevitable if the bulker is to be effective so
don't sweat it only dont confuse the watergains with true gains in lbm.

Thanks, bros. I realize that the weight gain IS prolly lots of water as nobody gains that much in lean muscle. I am already thinking about my next cycle (adding Deca or EQ next time).

As far as what I decided to take this time: I just followed doc's prescription. I was just thrilled to be getting what I got legally. I now realize that the HGH was a bad idea at this point. Its way too much cash when a few decent cycles would do me much better.

You know what is kinda strange? I went to see this guy 'cause I wanted legal gear, right? He describes what he does as "Age Management Medicine AND HRT." I go in and they do my blood work. My test (205) and growth hormone numbers are both pretty low so he writes the script described above...except his script was for 300mgs test cyp/week and I couldn't help but bump the test up to 400mgs because I had it on hand. Now, at this point I am not sure whether he views what we are doing as a long term thing (HRT) or not. From what I've read 300mgs/week is WAY to high to be HRT. Also, on my first appt I asked him whether he uses Nandralone as part of his practice and he says he does, but first he wants to see how I do on 300mgs of test alone before scripting more/anything else. Based upon those two things, I am thinking that more than strictly HRT this is one of those docs that "is willing to work" with guys who want what we want. Given that I have completed 5 weeks of my 10 week program, I want to know whether I'll be doing PCT on week 11 or what. So I call them today to ask what their plan is and his assistant says that we schedule an appt for 4 days after my last shot and she re-does blood work. Based upon the results the doc decides what we do next. I want to stay on test if I can, but I also want to occasionally run a cycle. What do you guys think? It is kinda strange not to know what is going on, but I didn't want to ask him about cycles point blank.
 
8 months on HGH....Nada! Save your $ and get on some Test/ Anavar.
You will make decent gains, BUT you should keep most of it. 8-10 lbs. easy.
