Wood (0-1, 7.20 ERA) and the Chicago Cubs play the second of a three-game set against the Marlins on Tuesday. The righthander has a 5-1 record with a 2.39 ERA in seven lifetime starts against Florida.
Wood was tagged for four runs - including three homers - and five hits in five innings of a 5-3 setback to Washington last Thursday. He did not walk a batter and struck out six.
The Marlins will counter with Scott Olsen (2-3, 6.55) and try to get two straight wins following a season-high seven-game losing streak. Olsen dropped his last decision, a 9-1 loss to Atlanta on Thursday. He surrendered eight runs and eight hits while striking out seven in 4 2/3 frames.
