Kevin Garnett had 26 points and hauled down 16 boards for a double-double on Wednesday as the Celtics defeated the Cavaliers 96-89 in Game 5 to take a 3-2 lead in this second-round series.

The Celtics failed to cover the 9-point spread at TD Banknorth Garden, and the 185 points made it OVER the night's posted total of 176.5.

Paul Pierce tossed in a team-high 29 points, and Rajon Rondo chipped in with 20.
