Kansas City (10-23) at Baltimore (16-20) 4:35 pm EDT

BALTIMORE (Ticker) - The Kansas City Royals have seen their share of pitching woes from their starting rotation. Mark Redman hopes he can turn it around for them against the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday.

Redman (0-2, 5.76 ERA) looks to get on track as he takes the ball in the second of a weekend series. The 6-5 lefthander was impressive in his last outing, yielding two runs and six hits in seven innings against the Chicago White Sox on Sunday, but he did not factor in the decision.

The 32-year-old Redman is 2-4 with a 4.35 ERA in six career starts against the Orioles.

Baltimore will send Kris Benson (4-3, 4.89) to the mound. Benson was hammered in his last trip to the hill, surrendering nine runs and eight hits in 4 1/3 frames at Boston on Sunday. The righthander is only 1-2 at Camden Yards this season and remains winless in three lifetime starts against the Royals.

Corey Patterson collected four RBI and scored twice, including the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth inning, in the Orioles' 6-5 triumph in the opener on Friday.
