- If familiarity breeds contempt, there should be animosity aplenty on Thursday when the San Francisco Giants and the Colorado Rockies meet at Coors Field.

The Giants will give the ball to starter Noah Lowry in this one. Righthander Lowry is 4-2 this season with a 3.29 ERA.

It'll be Aaron Cook toeing the rubber for the Rockies in this contest. Righthander Cook is 1-1 with a 4.37 ERA so far this season.

Oddsmakers currently have the Rockies listed as 118-moneyline favorites versus the Giants, while the game's total has not yet been posted.

The Giants fell 5-3 to the Mets as +140 underdogs las time out. The eight runs fell just UNDER the posted over/under (9).

Dave Roberts hit a two-run shot for the Giants, and Armando Benitez gave up two runs in relief to suffer the loss.

The Rockies were crushed 9-2 by the Cardinals last time out a +125 underdog in the series finale. The combined 11 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (8.5).

Todd Helton drove in one run and finished 2-for-5 at the plate for the Rockies. Jason Hirsh lasted just four innings on the mound, giving up three runs off five hits in the loss.
