40/40/20 diets

What does a good 40/40/20 diet look like???

I'm all healed up and am gonna start training really hard again as of monday and am looking to clean up my diet and get hard again.

I'm also going to up my training so i'll be training between 3-4 hours a day

a 1 1/2 hour training session in the morning and then 1/12 - 2 hours again in the evening

Any ideas?

Thanks

Are you talking about 40%protein/40%carbs/20%fat?

if so, usually in your case, you need higher-gi carbs around training and post-training, also you would need lower gi throughout the day. Quality protein like egg white is highly needed in conjunction w/ whey.

mr x yes that's right protein/carbs/fat

im thinking what would be good carb choices that i can eat easily at work mainly

i'll get 2-3 meals at work so im trying to workout what kinda food i should eat that's low GI and decent quality

Can you get/afford Proteinfactory protein mixes? If so, I would think it would be the easiest for you to use the protein/carb mixees especially since you're a fighter - intense training and recovery needed.

Good carb sources: green veggies, yams, beans, sweet potatoes, regular potato w/ skin, oatmeal, wheat natural pasta
higher GI: dextrose, maltodextrin, honey

i'll look into protein factory but the shipping might be too much

Call them at their 1-800#, they have amazing customer service and will ship it faster if need be - I'm sure an extra cost is involved if you want overnight.
