The new world No. 1 side, the Proteas arrive in the Caribbean on the back of some brilliant performances against India and Pakistan. Their bowlers, led by Shaun Pollock, have been in fine form and with the bat, they have a good mix of brutal hitters and solid players to anchor an innings.
Bangladesh
The slowly improving Bangladesh will be looking for a strong showing. But since they share a group with Asian neighbors India and Sri Lanka, they may find survival past the group stage beyond them. As the Tigers showed recently in their win over New Zealand in a World Cup warm up match, Bangladesh have developed to the stage where on their day they are capable of strong opposition.
