The New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins are set to renew hostilities on Friday night when they meet at Mellon Arena in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Oddsmakers currently have the Penguins listed as 145-moneyline favorites versus the Rangers, while the game's total is sitting at 5.

Jaromir Jagr had a goal and two assists as the Rangers defeated the Devils 5-3 last time out to win their first-round series. The Rangers won the game as a -110 pick'em, and the eight goals sailed OVER the posted over/under (5).

Michal Rozsival, Scott Gomez, Chris Drury, and Brandon Dubinsky into an empty net scored for the Rangers in that victory.

Sidney Crosby scored an empty-net marker that secured the Penguins' 3-1 win over the Senators and a sweep of their first-round playoff series last time out. The Penguins won the game as -170 favorites, while the combined four goals fell UNDER the posted over/under (5).

Evgeni Malkin and Jarkko Ruutu had the other Penguins goals. Marc-Andre Fleury made 21 saves in that win for Pittsburgh.
