Frank Robinson sends Ortiz to the hill

The latest battle in the long-running war between the division rival Braves and Nationals goes today with John Thomson slated to go against Ramon Ortiz.

The Braves start John Thomson, 0-0, 0.00 ERA. His last trip was a no decision, a 4-3 team loss against the Padres, when he threw 6 innings, allowing 0 runs on 1 hits.

Atlanta brings an 8-9 overall mark (3-4 in the division) into this game versus a Washington team carrying a 7-10 record.

The Braves come in as slight 120 road favorites and look to improve on their 5-6 road mark for the year. The Nationals, 7-10, are 1-3 at home and will try to bite big as a dog. Totals bettors see the line opened at 8.5.

Bobby Cox's team hopes to rebound from a 7-3 loss at the hands of the Nationals. They were pick in a game that went over the total.

The Braves need to cut down on the strikeouts and get some runners on base. They rank #16 in the league, whiffing 8.3 times per game. The hitters need to make some contact.
ATL: J. Thomson (0-0, 1.23)
WAS: R. Ortiz (0-2, 7.31)

You have to bet before the close time (start of the game).
You wouldn't want to bet on this anyway since the game's been postponed and the event will be abandoned (bets returned).
