The Senators crushed the Penguins 6-3 in Game 1 of their best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarterfinal Wednesday night. Andrej Meszaros, Chris Kelly, Tom Preissing, Dany Heatley, Chris Neil, and Mike Comrie scored the Sens goals. Ray Emery kicked away 20 shots in the win.
Ottawa won the game as -170 favorites at Scotiabank Place, and the nine goals sailed OVER the posted over/under (6.5).
Jordan Staal, Sergei Gonchar, and Sidney Crosby scored for the Penguins, and Marc-Andre Fleury made 30 saves in the loss. The Penguins were listed as +150 underdogs.
