Just a friendly reminder that there is only 3 more w/o till the nationals. My first circa max squat for this meet went well, did some speed pulls and got to use a little device that actually measures bar speed. It has a display on a tripod, that runs to a small dumb-bell looking thing that attaches a line to the bar sorta like fishing line. It measures speed in meters per second and calculates force (in watts)by entering your weight on the bar. It really kicked ass to use, the guy running it was very helpful and logged every ones speed times so we could compare later. I was average or so on DE squats with 405+big blue+big green. Redeamed myself on DE deadlifts with 405 :D . Some people that are using bands get thrown off when visiting, we have a 2x4 on the side of the monolift's leg's to increase band tension, some of you might try that. later

thats some pretty cool stuff.

do you know what that thing is called?

sounds similar to a force plate but a bit different ebcasue the string is attached to a bar and stuff...

sounds interesting though.

keep it up

oh and btw, how fast were you moving the bar..

i heard in a test done on Olympic lifters some guy moved 200kg @ 2meters/second in the snatch..

Yea it was pretty cool, I'll try to post a link or something tomorrow, if someone moved 200kg@2 mps I would love to see it, not saying it's impossible though, out of everyone that did the deadlifts: person A did .80 or so and has pulled 755, person B did.6 and has pulled around 710 , person C 1.0 -765 but has done 800 in the gym, person D .95 or so and has pulled 800+ in a meet, I did 1.1 -1.18 the last 2 being 1.18 out of 8 pulls and have done a 750 comp lift, hopefully 775 at the nats. Pulling a 2.0 would be incredible.

i tried my frantz double breifs tonight and they worked real nice, 335 with blue-pink was easy, easier then 315 w/ blue-pink in an inzer poly. Hey Db i think Josh said hes bringing me and my buddy down this fri or sat so we can learn to use the monolift before nats. Ive never used one before, ive had to walk everything out so hopefully w/ the mono everything will be a lil easier.

good luck in nov

Thats awsome man. I have found that even having someone time my speed sets gives me a goal or time to beat every set. even though its not real acurate its the incentive of beating a pr or time that helps.

After several times of trying I have finally figured out how toget the right band tension. ANyone interested pm me and I will send you the pics. It was very simple. Also, a friend of mine developed a monlift attachment for my power rack that was so easy and simple it's riduclous. There are a few other guys that make them but they are way overpriced. When you see the pics you won't believe how simple it was.
