Best way to lokk at it is find the people who are progressing and analyze what they do and why does it work. This basically weeds out the training flaws and diet problems without you ever having to experiment and waste time, and again good job
P.S. at 5'7" I can gain strength and size easily at first but in the long run it gets real hard
