i know i posted my squat PR before, and i posted my Bench PR in C&C yesterday, but i'm going to repost those two and add a third :D

Previous max lifts in December - 200x3 (assisted slightly on last rep), 265x5 Squat. Wasn't deadlifting at the time.

all lifts raw with the exception of a BB pad for the squats.

This past Friday on Squats
95x15
135x12
165x10
205x8
235x5
255x3
275x1
295x1
305x1
315x1

Monday on Flat Bench
Bar x 15
95x10
135x6
160x3
185x1
205x1
225x1
235x3 with some assist on 3rd rep
235 x Failure (wanted to try again for a single)

Today on Deads (note - i started deadlifting in January at 105lbs)
95x12
135x10
165x8
205x5
235x3
255x3
275x3
295x3
305x1
305 x Failure

the first 305 went up good. the second time i started to feel my form slip slightly and my body said "dude, you're done" when i was halfway up.

5'6"
just over 170lbs (started dropping weight this past week, want to drop BF a little before i start bulking again)
been training since the beginning of September. i couldn't flat bench my bodyweight at the time, which was 161lbs. my squats started off at 165lbs back then.

Progress :garza:

Nicely done. Just to throw a thought in drop your first set of deads, pulling over 300 you don't need to start at 95. Looking great though keep up the good work.

Cheers,
Scotsman

Rock on!!! I told you you needed to go with a HEAVY single in deads! And look you got 305!!

very nice, its always inspirational to hear of other peoples PR's

thanks everyone.

jkurz - why the double middle finger?

scotsman - i started at 95 for warmup, but probably more mental warmup than physical. that whole string of lifts took me about 45 minutes to do. i really took my time between sets and keeping myself mentally pumped up.

Smurfy - after the 295x3, i felt like i had a decent PR and was going to stop there. i went through a mental arguement with myself for 5 minutes about going heavier. i almost went and asked around if anyone would slap some sense into me. the only word running through my mind was "injury"...over and over again. so it turned into a big mental battle with myself over breaking 300 or just saying "enough is enough, pack it up and go home, good job."

obviously, i somehow managed to talk myself into attempting 305, and i am glad i did. i've never hit failure on a deadlift before, so i had no idea what to expect. i think that was my biggest fear....what happens when you hit failure on a deadlift? does deadlift failure involve an injury? am i going to regret this?

no more PRs for a while. good way to end the semester though. :)
