DETROIT (Ticker) - The Phoenix Coyotes still may be reeling from an embarrassing home loss to the Detroit Red Wings when they visit Joe Louis Arena for a rematch Tuesday.

The Red Wings won for the eighth time in nine games Saturday in convincing fashion, posting a 7-3 triumph in Phoenix.

Nicklas Lidstrom had a goal and two assists and Brendan Shanahan and Henrik Zetterberg had a pair of tallies in the rout. All of the scoring occurred in the first two periods, including Detroit's three-goal burst in the final 4:50 of the second stanza.

Zetterberg, a teammate of Lidstrom's on Sweden's Olympic gold-medal squad, has four goals and three assists in his last three games and is one tally shy of reaching 30 this season.

The Red Wings, who are 20-8-2 at home, will be opening a three-game homestand against a Coyotes squad that has not played a road game since January 26. It went 3-5-2 in that stretch.

Shane Doan and Steve Reinprecht scored in a span of 32 seconds of the first period in Saturday's loss to Detroit. Mike Ricci added another tally early in the second to pull Phoenix within 4-3 before the Red Wings pulled away.

The Coyotes were unable to score in the third period despite a 14-7 shots advantage.
