San Jose (28-22-8) at Calgary (34-18-7) 10:00 pm EST
CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) - The Calgary Flames were able to get back on track Thursday after having their winning streak snapped.
The San Jose Sharks will try to follow this same blueprint Saturday when they skate with the Flames for the fourth time this season.
Calgary had won three straight games prior to its 2-1 loss to Vancouver on Tuesday. But the Northwest Division leader rebounded Thursday with a 3-1 triumph over St. Louis behind a pair of goals by captain Jarome Iginla and another from Shean Donovan.
The Flames, whose 157 goals are just 13th in the Western Conference, improved to 9-0-0 when Iginla records multiple-point games this season.
San Jose's four-game winning streak came to a halt Friday with a 3-2 setback vs. Edmonton. Joe Thornton's goal with 4:37 to play gave the Sharks a 2-1 lead but Vesa Toskala allowed a pair of goals in the final minutes as San Jose suffered its first loss since February 6 against Calgary.
The Flames are 2-0-1 against the Sharks this season as they have burned goaltender Evgeni Nabokov for seven goals in two games.
