Montreal (28-22-8) at Tampa Bay (32-23-4) 7:30 pm EST
TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) - Hopefully the Tampa Bay Lightning enjoyed their Olympic break, because they certainly could not have had much fun in their first game back.
The Lightning hope to rebound from one of their worst performances of the season Saturday when they skate with the Montreal Canadiens for the third time this season.
Tampa Bay entered the break with wins in five of its last six games. However, that certainly did not translate into the defending champions' first game after the layoff - an embarrassing 8-2 loss to Florida on Tuesday.
John Grahame was pulled at 3:35 of the second period after allowing four goals on 13 shots and Sean Burke came on and allowed four goals on only nine shots.
Meanwhile, the Canadiens have to be pleased with the start to their post-Olympic slate as the team is coming off victories against the New York Islanders and Florida Panthers to open its six-game road trip.
In Thursday's 1-0 triumph over the Panthers, Cristobal Huet made 24 saves to record his third shutout in seven games and Alexei Kovalev scored late in the third period to lift Montreal to its fourth win in six games.
The Canadiens, who were ousted by the Lightning in the 2004 Eastern Conference semifinals, have gained a small measure of revenge with victories in the first two matchups this season.
