GLENDALE, Arizona (Ticker) - The Detroit Red Wings seemingly have no problems right now, while the Phoenix Coyotes appear ready to put theirs behind them.

The Red Wings take the ice in search of their eighth triumph in nine games Saturday when they face the Coyotes for the third time this season.

Detroit had its six-game winning streak ended Tuesday with a 5-1 loss to San Jose but rebounded one day later with an impressive 2-0 win against Anaheim.

Chris Osgood made 24 saves for his second shutout of the season and Tomas Holmstrom and Henrik Zetterberg - two of five Red Wings gold medalists who missed the game against the Sharks - returned to score in the victory over the Mighty Ducks.

Meanwhile, Phoenix endured a great deal of turmoil last month. Not only did the team enter the Olympic break with a four-game losing streak, but associate coach Rick Tocchet was implicated in an alleged gambling ring that rocked the hockey world.

The Coyotes took the first step toward getting back on track Thursday by recording a 6-2 win against the first-place Dallas Stars.

Geoff Sanderson and captain Shane Doan scored two goals apiece for Phoenix, which entered just 18th in the league on the power play but went 3-for-10 with the man advantage.

The teams have split a pair of meetings this season but have not met since November 5, when Phoenix skated to a 4-1 victory.
