DALLAS (Ticker) -- There are no breathers for the Dallas Mavericks in their quest to get homecourt advantage in the Western Conference playoffs.
The Mavericks look for their fifth win in six outings Thursday when they meet the Golden State Warriors in their third encounter of the season.
Dallas has won 19 of its last 20 home games and is 30-5 here this season. The Mavericks remain tied with San Antonio for the top spot in the West and the Southeast Division, while traiing Detroit by 1 1/2 games for the league's best record.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 28 points and Jerry Stackhouse added 16 off the bench for Dallas in Tuesday's 88-72 victory over the Houston Rockets.
Since the All-Star break, Nowitzki is averaging 28.3 points and 10 rebounds, and is shooting nearly 49 percent (164-of-336) from the floor and 92 percent (102-of-111) from the foul line.
Playing the second contest of a three-game road trip, the Warriors have lost six of nine and will likely be without guard Baron Davis, who has sat out three straight games with a sprained right ankle.
Derek Fisher scored 27 points and Jason Richardson added 20 for Golden State, which fell to 4-10 since the All-Star break with Tuesday's 107-96 loss to the Spurs.
